On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2022, the Palace of Versailles invites you to discover the place in a Republican visit! See you on September 17 and 18, 2022, for unique and fabulous visits!
European Heritage Days 2022planned for September 17 and 18, 2022are an irresistible event for the French history lover. This year, the cultural places gather around the following theme: Heritage for all. That was all it took to Castle of Versailles to unveil a playful and attractive program.
After a previous edition focused on comics, the Castle of Versailles proposes a new theme for the 39 European Heritage Days. On September 17 and 18, 2022the house of the Sun King goes into “Republican” mode with a special tour centered on the Republic and the role of Versailles in hosting several assemblies between 1789 and 1879.
You should also know that during your visit, you may meet students from Louvre School and ask them everything you need to know more about these places where the Republic wrote history.
At the same time as the Great Musical Waters and the Nocturnal Fountain Shows – always busy – the estate welcomes you to the estate, from the Trianon to the King’s Chamber. After the visit, you can take advantage of the Galerie des calèches to discover the magnificent carousel designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and the carriage collection of the Palace of Versailles.
