It’s an indescribable feeling, a mixture of excitement, nostalgia, adrenaline and excitement. It’s two years away, but the next Olympics are already starting to get people into the hype.
To get the ball rolling, the Paris 2024 Games Organizing Committee announced the use of famous landmarks for competition projects in July 2024.
The Eiffel Tower, a 1,083-foot tower located on the Champ de Mars in the heart of Paris, France, will be one of several international landmarks used for the competition. Events taking place at the Stade de la Tour Eiffel will include beach volleyball and 5-a-side football.
And it does not stop there. The Paris 2024 Games Organizing Committee plans to use other existing monuments to also present the Games, including the Seine.
The river will be used for the opening ceremony and would also be used for water marathons and triathlons.
In addition to the Seine, the gardens of Versailles have also established themselves as venues for equestrian and para-equestrian events.
